At the Authority Unit, caseworkers are responsible for decisions under the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), and housing adaptations (Housing Adaptation Act), as well as a housing prioritizer responsible for assigning housing and short-term stays under SoL. The Authority Unit is also responsible for preventive work, support for relatives, volunteer coordination, and more.

Your role with us

As a welfare caseworker, you have independent responsibility for processing, follow-up, and evaluation of measures under the Social Services Act within the Care Administration. You collaborate with several teams and report to the unit manager, whom you will work closely with. Your tasks involve investigating an individual's right to support and help based on their needs and conditions. Primarily, this means investigating, deciding on, and following up on measures under SoL. Documentation takes place in Life Care.

In this role, you are expected to contribute to maintaining high quality in operations with satisfied clients. You contribute to a good work climate and team spirit based on the key words: security, independence, and participation. We want employees to take responsibility and be given opportunities to embrace challenges. As a welfare caseworker, you are involved in development work through working groups. You contribute to the achievement of operational goals. The working group consists of a mix of extensive experience and new competence, with a desire to support and help colleagues.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have a degree from the social work program or another degree from a university or college that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience in processing cases under the Social Services Act, and we want you to have good knowledge of the legislation relevant to the area.

Since communication and documentation are part of your work, you need computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working in the operational system Life Care is meritorious. A B-class driver's license is required.

As a person, you are independent and development-oriented with the ability to take responsibility. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate verbally and in writing. You must also have decision-making ability and the ability to translate goals and visions into practical action.

The Care Administration's operations are directed towards the elderly and persons who need functional support, as well as persons who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the Authority Unit, the National Upper Secondary School for Social Studies, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
